Reading Journal Note
I can't recall how Tinkers, by Paul Harding ended up in my reading list or why I skipped ahead of other books to read it but I'm glad I did. Possibly, it was the beautiful cover that hooked me.
What a hammer-drop of prose virtuosity. Completely arresting. Some books appeal because the subtle beauty of finely crafted sentences seeps in through your skin. The writing in this book is an injection into your carotid artery.
This note is part of Dan Jewett's reading journal - a chronological record of books, articles, and thoughts about reading.
